Treyarch Not Developing Black Ops for Vita

It seems like Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified is pulling a Keyzer Söze on us.

Videogamer spoke with Treyarch to confirm whether they were responsible for the upcoming Playstation Vita game, and got a terrifying answer: Treyarch is not only not doing it, they don't even know who it could be.

"With regards to the Vita, all I can tell you is that it's quite literally declassified," said John Rafacz, director of communications and fellow who is confused about how certain words seem to work. The game itself is a mystery aside from Sony announcing it during E3 and a press release detailing  "the most intense handheld Call of Duty experience to date, including both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita." It will feature an all-new single player campaign and original missions.

Except no one's seen or heard anything else about this spy fiction. So it seems like the greatest trick the developers of Declassified ever pulled was making us think they weren't real all along. Or they're Treyarch. Or they're really Sledgehammer, based on an earlier job listing.
