Warren Ellis has confirmed that he is coming back to Marvel. The acclaimed comic book writer has worked with Marvel in the past but this will be a property that he has not worked on before.

He let the information slip that he was picking up a new Marvel project on his personal blog when responding to a fan's questions about whether or not he would be taking over Daredevil. (He is not taking over Daredevil, by the way.)
"I only select my Marvel projects from the properties Marvel offer me, so I don't really waste brain cycles thinking about what I'd like to do there. They come to me when they want me to work with them, and they make me offers from their available properties. (I've already selected and begun my Marvel project for this year, by the way.)"
This is big news for fans of comics. The long time creator is most known for his work on his own series Transmetropolitan. For Marvel, he worked quite extensively on Moon Knight.
There's no information on exactly which property he's picked up from Marvel, only that he has chosen it himself. It will likely run after Secret Wars and could be part of the new Marvel Cannon.
Although Ellis is known for his work on such comics as Freak Angels and Global Frequency, he's no stranger to the world of super heroes. He has worked with both Marvel and DC on a variety of comics, including Gotham Knights and Avengers.
