Bloodborne Patch News: Developers Looking Into Decreasing Load Times And Other Fixes

Bloodborne Developers Are Looking Into A Patch To Fix Load Times And Other Bugs

Bloodborne released on PlayStation 4 today, finally unleashing another round of trial and error on console owners.

The initial reviews have been positive, and From Software seems to have another success on its hands. There are some issues irritating gamers, though, and one of them is the long load times. The developers have commented to IGN on the matter, and will be looking into some fixes.

"The development team is currently exploring another patch for Bloodborne, seeking ways to improve load time duration, in addition to other performance optimizations and miscellaneous bug fixes," it reads. "We will provide more information as soon as possible."

That's not an official patch announcement, or even a sure thing on what a patch will contain, but it's a promising sign. They mentioned the specific areas of Bloodborne they'll be looking into, and load time duration is chief among them. Unless they're completely unable to figure out a fix, I would imagine a patch will improve load times down the line--perhaps it will be included in the very next update.

Other news about the game today centered around a possible PC version of Bloodborne. It's always been said to be an exclusive, and on console it will likely remain that way, but a posting on Amazon France lists the game for Windows. The site has a good track record for early listings, but only time will tell!
