Some footage from the Amazing Spider-Man movie has hit the net, and it looks like they could be setting up Osborne to feature a bit more predominantly in the sequel. Check the clip below, if spoilers ye fear not.
Many thanks to NerdReactor for the video.
It looks like Norman isn't long for this world, and the good Doctor Connors has to decide between going against his morals and help out, or have his research shut down. Seeing how sinister Khan can be lends credence to formerly mentioned theories. With Khan making off with Connors' serum, an appearance by one goblin or another is an excellent possibility. Since it's already been done, I wouldn't expect the Green Goblin to make an appearance, but if he does, expect it to be very different from Willam Dafoe's incarnation.
Marvel movies as of late have been sticking to the Ultimate universe, with the Chituari aliens in the Avengers, the re-imagined Galactus as a swarm in Fantastic Four 2, and S.H.I.E.L.D showing up at every turn. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Nick Fury make yet another dramatic post-credit appearance, especially since in comic continuity, Avenger Henry Pym, a pre-Hulk Bruce Banner, and Franklin Storm, father to Invisible Woman and Human Torch, all worked with Peter Parker's father. What were they working on? They were S.H.I.E.L.D scientists trying to re-create the super soldier formula that gave the world Captain America.
Maybe that team-up could happen someday after all...
The Amazing Spider-Man hits theatres July 3rd.
