PS4 Bloodborne And PlayStation-Themed Console Faceplates Announced As Part Of 'Project SkyLight' Line

PS4 Gets Bloodborne And PlayStation-Themed 'Project SkyLight' Faceplates

You may not remember when Sony (and I wouldn't blame you) announced PlayStation 4 faceplates a while back, meant solely to customize the look of your console.

The cosmetic plates were unveiled as Project SkyLight in December, with examples of Little Big Planet and The Order: 1886 shown off at the time. The console maker has announced a new Bloodborne plate (above) in preparation for the title's release this week, as well as a plate themed with PlayStation symbols.

Each of the new products will retail for $24.99, and though it's easy to poke fun at the idea, more power to anyone who want to stylize their system. It's harmless fun, and if you'd like a plate that shows off your favorite game, it looks like these releases will keep coming.

God Of War 3 Remastered Is Coming To PS4 In July

"We plan to have even more great options for you to choose from when the program fully launches in the future," the blog post reads. "Until then, let us know in the poll (found at the link above) what you would be most interested in seeing for future faceplate designs."

The poll offers options for plates centered around upcoming games (Uncharted 4, Until Dawn, etc), more classic PlayStation games (Shadow of the Colossus is listed as an example, which I'm sure will be popular), designs based on the PlayStation brand and development studios, and other designs that aren't based around gaming (landscapes, abstract, etc). Vote now if you'd like to give input, and check out the link to purchase the existing options.
