Dontnod and Square Enix have released the launch trailer for Out of Time, the second episode of their five-part storytelling game Life is Strange, due out next week.
Final Fantasy XI Arriving On Mobile Devices Next Year
When last we left our heroines, Max and Chloe had been reunited and were looking out over what may be their last normal sunset of their youths. A storm was coming, one that threatened the entire sanctity of Arcadia Bay. Earlier, Max had discovered that she had the ability to rewind time to affect the outcome of events, and that it was up to her to prevent the town's destruction when the storm hits in a few days. Teenage drama, schoolyard antics, a missing girl and danger lurks around every corner.
Chrysalis, the first episode of Life is Strange was an excellent opening act to a larger story. The board is set and populated with interesting (if familiar) characters ripped out of a John Hughes movie, with enough plot threads to keep things moving along. If the trailer for episode two is any indication, things are about to get real. Or, to use the paralance of the game 'hella cereal'.
Final Symphony II Heads To London For One Night In September
"In Episode 2: Out of Time you will start to see much of your choices affecting the story in a lot of different ways, be prepared for some surprises! You will also discover new locations as Max will go outside of Blackwell Academy and start exploring new areas in Arcadia Bay. You'll be able to learn more about the town, its inhabitants, and the social issues it's facing. On top of this, new and important characters will be introduced, as well as having a lot of difficult choices to make."
While the game is not perfect, there is a lot of potential, especially as the consequences of your actions begin to build up and your own adventure begins to look much different than everyone else's. We can't wait. Watch the trailer below.
Life Is Strange episode 2 hits all platforms simultaneously next Tuesday, March 24.
