Mark your calendars, reserve your hotel room and above all, brace yourselves: Blizzcon is coming.
Endless War(hammer): All The Upcoming Video Game Adaptations Of The Legendary Series
The annual convention of all things Blizzard (that's Starcraft, Warcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, Rock N Roll Racing, The Lost Vikings, etc) is once again returning to the Anaheim Convention Center this November 6 and 7. This will mark the ninth anniversary of the event, which is sure to attract all the usual characters: sexy elves, sexy dragon aspects, sexy orcs and the like.
Tickets go on sale April 15 and again on April 18 and will cost $199 each. Like last year, Blizzard will be selling virtual tickets for folks who would rather not shlep out to California.
The Terry Pratchett Video Game Retrospective
"There's no better way to connect with the ever-expanding Blizzard community than by bringing everyone together at BlizzCon," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "With more games in development than ever before, we'll have plenty of exciting updates to share and lots of great eSports competition to look forward to-we can't wait to see everyone there."
Both the Starcraft II and Hearthstone World Championships will take place all weekend. Always a good time.
Last year's Blizzcon was wonderful. The company announced the Goblins vs Gnomes expansion to Hearthstone, gave us some stellar insight into Legacy of the Void and revealed the upcoming new titles, Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm.
Hopefully we can get some release dates for the latter titles! I'm expecting this year's even to be heavily promoting the Warcraft movie, due out next March. So be sure to pick up tickets while they last. These things tend to go pretty quickly.
