After a long wait period, Supercell is finally getting in on the horse racing racket. Their popular farming sim Hay Day has just received the Neighborhood Derby update.
Never Too Many Golems In Clash Of Clans
Or rather 'Neigh'borhood. The just released patch introduces a new community based 'horse racing' challenge, in which you and your neighbors can race against other communities. It's not an actual race, you simply complete tasks to move your horse ahead, such as harvesting, building, etc.
The losing community will be taken out back and put down at the end of the challenge. Every race lasts seven days, so be sure to fill up on oats.

The best part is that the Neighborhood Derby tasks are just things you would be doing around the farm anyway, so you can compete and help no matter what. Just tap on the Derby stand to get started collecting the Horseshoes you need unlock the prizes. The top three neighborhoods in a given race will be randomly awarded a prize. Neighborhoods can get up to a maximum of five prizes each week.

In addition to the racing event - which may actually be illegal in some countries, mind you - players can now adopt two new pets: kittens and puppies. Also, all buildings in your farm have had their maximum levels increased, so there is yet more grinding to be had.
But such is the life of a farmer. Wake up every morning, do the same thing, go to sleep, repeat.
