The Amazing Spider-Man: Is Irrfan Khan the Next Goblin?

In the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man" movie, "Slumdog Millionaire" police inspector Irrfan Khan plays the "pivotal" role of Dr. Rajit Rath. Khan was originally slated to play Nels van Adder, who comic fans know as the former identity of the Proto-Goblin. Marvel's wiki page describes van Adder as "a brilliant scientist and engineer that worked at Oscorp. He was a research assistant and helped Dr. Mendel Stromm develop a performance enhancing formula which will later be known as the 'Goblin Formula'."

To sum up, van Adder (and possibly Rath in the film) worked on the formula that would result in Norman Osborne's eventual transformation into the infamous Green Goblin. Not a bad leadup for a sequel, really.

Khan expressed some hesitance to play the role, saying he "didn't want to be part of this violent American fantasy." He agreed only to take the job provided he would NOT play either a masked villain, or a sci-fi monster.

So that's that, right? Well, maybe not.

Wegotthiscovered.com references a review on a Belgian web site, which reads, "Certainly stay in the building for after the credits you get a piece of film where we are with the dark side of Irrfan Khan. Speculations have been doing the rounds for a while that he would be the Green Goblin in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) but nothing is yet confirmed."

While all this is quite intriguing, I'm more interested in how this "reviewer" managed to see a movie that the rest of us have to wait until July 3rd to see?
