Modding is truly one of the wonders of PC gaming, giving you reasons to replay new titles and breathing life back into older games.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection's Big Matchmaking Fix Update Is Here
This latest mod is the latter, combining two beloved franchises. Created by LoRdNazgu1 over at ModDB, The Elder Scrolls: Total War puts the fantasy franchise's aesthetics and locations into the long-running strategy franchise. You can see it in action in the trailer below.
The mod is for Medieval II: Total War, and the character models are of course fan-made, so the graphics are a bit dated. Medieval II is a popular title for community modders, particularly with the Kingdoms expansion (which this does require). The Elder Scrolls: Total War includes playable factions made up of the different races and groups within the franchise, though it seems largely based on Morrowind's lore and settings.
Valve Announces Info For Steam Machines, Steam Link, And Source 2 At GDC
There are whole groups using armor from Morrowind, soliders riding Guar, and locations such as Vivec seen in the trailer below. The Imperial City from Oblivion makes an appearance, though, so there's no telling how much is included from the franchise as a whole. That iconic Glass armor, tho.
If you have the required games, download now and enjoy from the link above! Thank goodness for modders--they keep us coming back to favorites for years. This version is not the final mod, so check back for updates and improvements.
