Big news for owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection: the long-awaited update focusing on fixing fundamental online issues is live.
Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Early Weapon Access For Ascendance DLC Available On Xbox
The game had received a series of patches since launch that fixed minor issues, but never solved the generally poor party system and very slow matchmaking process. 343 promised one larger content update that would fix the underlying causes rather than patch up the symptoms, and while it took the team a long period to develop, that patch is now available for download.
Dragon Age Inquisition Patch 5 Adds Party Storage And Gameplay Fixes
343 released the patch notes late last night, with the update itself ready to greet you when booting The Master Chief Collection. It's 690 MB--not quite as large as expected, it must be said--but hopefully it gets the job done. There's no mincing words about the state of the game up until now: it was truly difficult to play online, with an extremely slow and frustrating matchmaking process, though the campaigns and games themselves are very well done. If the experience isn't noticeably improved, I'm not sure where to go from here.
