The open beta for Wargaming's new CCG World of Tanks Generals has gone live today.
Frank Underwood And Princess Ida: Both Lost In A Monument Valley
There's still time to sign up and take part over at the official site. Generals is a browser based F2P card game in which players take part in 1 v 1 matches against their opponents in what Wargaming hopes to be the next great offensive front on their slow and steady march towards world domination.
"Our main goal with Closed Beta is to evolve the game into the incredible experience we're aiming for," said Andrey Zimenko, Director of Global Operations, World of Tanks Generals. "We've put a lot of effort into the game and are looking forward to seeing how testers like the current version, as well as hear their ideas and suggestions about the game's future."
Kickstart My Art: Wave Of Darkness, A Grim N Gritty Hack N Slash Title
The beta is exclusively for PC platforms, but a mobile version for both iOS and Android is planned for a future release.
Generals features over 200 cards split amongst three factions: the US, Germany and the Soviet Union. Command tanks, headquarters, tanks, artillery, orders and squads, as well as special bonus cards that grant additional firepower or defenses to strike, retreat and ultimately, win.
You can, of course, play the original World of Tanks on your PC HERE, and take the battle on the road with you with World of Tanks Blitz for mobile devices. Action game, mobile game, and now a card game? What will Wargaming make next? Match 3? I can see that working.
Sign up for the beta today!
