A new Mortal Kombat X trailer has been release, and it gives us the best glimpse of the game's story and characters yet.
Dying Light's Interactive Story Video Lets You Toggle Between Day And Night
Past videos have mostly focused on the gameplay and fights themselves, but the new Who's Next? trailer (below) shows off the storyline and some cutscenes. There's plenty of dialogue, giving our first real window into the events that will unfold.
The game takes place 25 years after the events of 2011's Mortal Kombat, and will pit the heroes against "power hungry clone" Mileena and her Outworld rebel army. The developers promise that those are not the only threats you'll face, and we can see multiple references to a talisman in the trailer.
PSN Spring Fever Sale Will Bring Discounts To New PS4 Games For 2 Months
We also see the newest fighters to join Cassie Cage including Jacqueline Briggs, daughter of Jax, Takashi Takeda, son of Kenshi and Kung Jin, descendant of Kung Lao.
Mortal Kombat Xwill be released worldwide on April 14 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The game is looking great visually, and the fatalaties and violence are more brutal than ever. Prior to the Super Bowl, Conan had the game on his show with NFL players Rob Gronkowski and Marshawn Lynch squaring off against one another--you can watch that amusing footage here.
