After a weekend of teasing, the next update for Clash of Clans has gone live today.

The new patch focuses heavily on the 'clans' portion of the game, giving players greater control over their team with new badges, perks and a leveling system that allows you to work towards something other than undying glory.
However, players will also be treated to an all new level of Cannon, the most powerful yet. Level 13 cannons are not messing around. In addition to dealing out a painful amount of fiery damage, they've had their Health increased so they can last a lot longer during a fight.

Perhaps as a way of saying 'we have not forgotten you!', the beloved mid-level unit, the Healer, will no longer trigger air traps. She will still be taken down almost immediately by air defense buildings, but fear not the strike lying in wait any longer.
But obviously, the biggest changes are the Clan wars modifications. Clans can now work through ten levels of clan dominance, earning new perks such as bonus XP, loot, refunds or even added Clan Castle troops to aid in defense. Plus, the higher level you go, the fancier your badge options get. Oh yeah, there are customizable badges so you may bring your banner to the field and stake a claim in the smoldering heart of your enemy's fortress.
However, if Clashing isn't really for you a) why are you playing? And b) that's alright, as you may now tell your Clan you wish to opt out of an upcoming Clan War. Because Supercell has realized that you may have other things going on. Y'know, like getting to the World Series or something.
Clans can earn XP in the following ways:
Get small amounts of Clan XP for defeating enemy War Bases
Get larger amounts of Clan XP for accumulating enough stars during war
Get a huge Clan XP bonus for winning the war!â
All of this is now yours. Update Clash of Clans today and get playing.
