Apple iOS 6 Gold Master Version in September Before iPhone 5 Release

Apple is expected to launch iOS 6 Gold Master Version in September before the release of its next generation iPhone 5.

"We expect Apple to unveil iOS 6 GM (Golden Master) in early September," said Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Analyst. "Based on the release schedule for iOS 6 GM, there is a very good chance iPhone 5 will start shipping also in early September."

If what Kuo has revealed is true, fans will be excited to hear that the iPhone 5 will be available in three months, but we're still waiting on confirmation from Apple.

Apple’s iOS 6, “the world’s most advanced mobile operating system” according to the banners put up at Moscone West in San Francisco, is expected to come with integration with iCloud, Facebook, iTunes, and the App Store. It is also believed to update its user interfaces and equip Apple’s own “iMap,” set to replace the current Google Maps.

iOS 6 Gold Master Version will be integrated with “major modifications” and will launch in September.

“The GM build is the final version seeded to developers before it is publicly released. There is no significant difference in the features of GM build and final public build, hence the former truly gives an idea of what the latter will bring for users when it is finally released to the public,” reports Geek With Laptop.

With all these, Apple will unveil its major operating system update iOS 6 which powers iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, including Apple TV during WWDC. Let’s hope that fans and developers will not be disappointed.
