Dying Light is a lengthy and fairly deep game, with plenty to do and see in the city of Harran.

We provided our own guide for having a fun and successful time with Techland's game, and now the developers have posted their own suggestions in a new video.
It's the first in a planned series of six tips videos, and this one extolls the virtues of multiplayer. While these aren't specific in-depth tips like those in our guide, it's more helpful to new players who haven't navigated the game quite yet, especially ahead of the game's physical launch.
Hard Mode Is Coming To Dying Light For Free
Dying Light's lead designer explains that co-op play is safer and more fun, and shows you where to find it. You can join anyone's open game, or open your own to let anyone join. Playing with another player keeps the hordes off your back, and (crucially) you can revive each other. On the fun side, the game offers dynamic challenges when you're trying to complete an objective, asking if you want to join a competition to race to a point or take down an enemy.
There's also the competitive mode, Be The Zombie, which can be a bit confusing for new players. If your game is open for the mode, you can get invaded by another player. They assume the form of a dangerous Hunter zombie, and it's your job to destroy a set of nests that appear as it tries to take you down. Ideally, other players join your team--one human doesn't stand a very good chance against a Hunter, which can swing from rooftops and pounce on victims. It can be jarring for someone to join your game and halt your singleplayer progress, so keep your game closed if you're going to just boot anyone who joins and jump in other peoples' games when you fancy a match.
Co-op play can make the game much more fun (though it does remove some of the creepy loneliness of survival-horror), and the competitive play is entertaining. More tips will be on the way, so keep an eye out.
