Game of Thrones Season 5 News and Spoilers: Next Season Will Be More Brutal, Samwell Story May See Some Changes

Samwell May Not See The Same Story From The Book In Shocking New Season Of Game Of Thrones

Season five of Game of Thrones is coming up and one thing everyone seems to agree on is that the coming season will be more shocking than the last. John Bradley shares some details about the upcoming season.

Game Of Thrones: A Day In The Life Is A Look At What's Coming In The New Season

"I think people, after watching 40 hours of something, they start to know the formula a bit - or they start to think they know the formula a bit - so we have got to find new and exciting ways of both keeping it familiar and double-crossing them. And I think we've managed to do that," Bradley said tothe Independent.

We've been warned that things would get bloodier in this season but will Sam be safe?

George R. R. Martin Will Not Finish Book Series Before Television Series Of Game Of Thrones Ends

The character left off the last season in a good place but with the show set to diverge from the book, there's no telling if he'll follow the same story line. He was sent to be a Maester in the series but will this play out on the screen?

"You will see how that goes into season five and you will also see how that is affected by the arrival of Stannis and everybody else," Bradley hinted.

This is a huge point because the arrival of Stannis, Melisandre in particular, is one of the driving forces that sets up Sam's storyline in the further books. We know that aspects of Stannis' storyline at the wall have been changed from the books (as well as some from Sam's. No Coldhands? No Coldhands).

The coming season may hold some surprises for the character, even for those that have read the books.

Game of Thrones returns on April 12.
