Blizzard has released the latest patch notes for the current Beta of their MOBA title, Heroes of the Storm.
Dying Light 'Cuisine & Cargo' DLC Available Now
The game has gotten a significant overhaul, everything from sound design to gameplay have been adjusted and tweaked in some form or the other. The new patch also brings forth a brand new Hero: the Lost Vikings. Teased last week during a new costume preview video, the stars of one of Blizzard's very first games enter the modern age.
Olaf, Baleog and Erik are actually three units in one, but each can be killed separately (and as such, each respawns separately, too). Each also comes with his own unique skillset. Olaf, for instance, "has lots of Health, regenerates Health quickly, and charges to slow enemies." Baleog "Deals splash damage to enemies behind his attack target" while Erik "moves faster than the other Vikings and has a longer attack range."
Blizzard Introduces The Ban Hammer To Bot Accounts In Hearthstone
They can be controlled individually or as a group via hotkeys. I would definitely not recommend them to newcomers, even if they do come with some baller pajamas.
Killing either one of the Vikings will only yield 25% of the normal XP gained from killing hero units. Each, however, does count towards any Talents that require Hero kills.
A majority of the available heroes have had their abilities tweaked, as well. My main boy Jim Raynor, Assassin extraordinaire, has in fact received a major talent overhaul!
New Talent (Level 1): Raynor's "Recruitment"
This is an improved version of the Bribe Talent that requires only 15 stacks to bribe a Mercenary instead of 20.
New Talent (Level 16): Relentless Leader
Raynor gains 50% Crowd Control reduction.
Additionally, once every 5 seconds, Raynor will knock back nearby enemies if he becomes stunned.
New Talent (Level 20): A Card to Play
Raynor's Heroic Ability cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds whenever any Hero (ally or enemy) is killed.
Lead from the Front has been removed. Inspire no longer boosts damage (nooo!), but the Banshees called down with the Raynor's Raiders high level talent can now be commanded individually and will auto-attack their own targets, focusing on heroes first until told otherwise.
That is but a taste of the updates Blizzard has brought to the Nexus. You can read the full patch notes HERE.
