Game Of Thrones Season Five News And Spoilers: New Casting May Hint At Major Battle

Season 5 Of Game Of Thrones To End Like Season Four?

Game of Thrones hasn't even started yet but we're already looking towards the end of the season. New spoilers released may point to a season five that ends a lot like season four did: in battle.

HBO Will Surpass Game Of Thrones Books, George R. R. Martin Can't Write Fast Enough

Watchers on the Wall reported that Nigel O'Neill has been cast as a Baratheon general. This seems pretty small, after all, there are warriors everywhere. Only the Baratheon's are all at the wall with Mr. Snow.

Casting a general could mean that there is a huge battle coming at the wall. It was also teased earlier that Loboda (remember that crazy cannibal wilding? Him) would have substantial scenes with other important cast members.

At first this seems like it would just be another Crow vs Wilding encounter however, I think it may be an actual "winter is coming" moment.

The show has gone off the rails from the books. There's no reason why they can't start introducing the threats of White Walkers in this season as more than just an idea. The end of the season battle may actually be Crows plus Wildings vs White Walkers.

The casting of O'Neill is listed for episodes 9 and 10 which holds steady for what we've seen in past seasons. The last two episodes are typically where all things that have been building on boil over. It would be typical to see a battle here.

It doesn't have to be a typical battle though.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 12.
