Season four of Sherlock is still a long way off. I'm sorry, I wish I had better news for you all about that. Still, there have been hints on what fans of the detective can expect in the coming season of the show.
New Season Of The Walking Dead Will Be Very Different And More Brutal Than Before
Mark Gatiss, producer, recently hinted via Twitter that the next season would be based on the famous story The Red-Headed League by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
The story centers around a pawnbroker by the name of Jabez Wilson who seeks Sherlock's help in finding his lost employer. Jabez only works as a pawnbroker at night, during the day he's a transcriptionist for the Red-Headed League.
Will Dandy Be On The Next Season Of American Horror Story?
Jabez also has red hair. This might be important.
Sherlock is very intrigued by the case (are there any he isn't?) and takes the job.
Even though we have an idea of what the next season will be about, don't expect it anytime soon. The next Sherlock fans are likely to see will be the special which is slated to premiere sometime around Christmas of this year.
The new season will not be released until after that. So it could be another full year until it comes out.
This is probably in part due to the very busy schedules of the main characters. After all, both of them were fairly heavily involved in a recent movie. Perhaps you've heard of it? The Hobbit. It was based on some books by a guy named Tolkien or some such.
In any case, the long wait between episodes is really unusual for a television series but it doesn't seem to be hurting them as fans are still talking about it even though there hasn't been a new episode in over a year and there won't be for at least another.
