With most eyes on some of Activision's larger titles *cough*CallofDutyBlackOps2*cough*, only "eagle" eyed viewers caught a glimpse of a familiar red bird screeching toward the logo's A between ads. It seems that Activision is planning to make a nest for Angry Birds on your PlayStations, Xboxes, and Wiis.
When pressed for comment, Escapist reports that an Activision spokesman said only, "We'll have some news for you in about two weeks. Wait until you see Angry Birds on consoles in HD."
No official announcement as of yet, but it has been only a day since this discovery.
Since it's release by RovioMobile in 2009, the original Angry Birds and all its additions have reached (cumulatively) one billion downloads. It's now available on everything from Facebook, to mobile phones, nooks, and iPads. With its own line of clothing, toys, and a TV series in the works, Angry Birds is considered (relative to costs) one of the most profitable games in history.
