For reasons known only to the members of Team Ninja, Dead Or Alive 5: Last Round's Steam version has been delayed a month until March 30.
Mortal Kombat X Kollector's Editions Announced
The console versions are still scheduled for release in two weeks. In fact, there's a brand new shiny (and bouncy) trailer that you can watch below.
While delays are nothing new in the industry, one wonders why specifically the Steam version has been delayed. The last gen versions, which themselves are digital only, remain in place. The official site offers no other explanation. "In order to provide you with the best experience possible, the expected release date for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on Steam has been changed from Feb. 17 to March 30."

However, the site adds: "in appreciation for your patience, we'll be offering the Halloween 2013 Set (28 costumes) free of charge to all users who purchase Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on Steam."
Dead Or Alive is truly a... unique series. Take this launch trailer, which is full of absurd action and even absurder costumes. What other major game series - that launches here in North America - will inform you of the ages of some of the female characters?
Don't worry boys, they're all at least 18.
Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round will feature over 30 characters, 400 costumes available (including 31 designed by DOA fans, I wonder if we can spot them...) Additionally, "players can bring their run of rosters, costumes and save data from Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate, as previously purchased DLC content will be transferable from last gen consoles to the PS4 and Xbox One (PS3 to PS4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One)."
The console version is still out on February 17. Watch the launch trailer below.
