The world's most prolific sentient bread sim - a 'breadbox game' if you will - I Am Bread has just gotten a toasty, tasty new update on Steam Early Access.
Bring Your Adventures Anywhere You Go With Disney Infinity Toy Box 2.0 On iOS
The Garage update sees our heroic slice of bread - arguably one of the best things ever, as we know - "escaping the confines of Mr. Murton's house" and venturing forth into the uncharted world of the garage. Surely there must be something there that can give the bread that which it has always desired? To be toasted.
The "new Cheese Hunt Mode marks the debut of the mighty Crispbread. More agile than the white sliced, Crispbread's goal is to collect the pieces of cheese scattered around the level as quickly as possible." Which sounds tricky because have you ever tried to pick up pieces of the bag cheese? It's hard, yeah? Not to mention that Crispbread is a bit more brittle than its wonderbread-esque counterparts and as such, hitting objects can more easily result in a loss of durability; as opposed to 'edibility'.

Bossa, the studio behind the game, promises that this will be the first in a series of bi-weekly updates coming to the game. In a recent Bread Diary video, they revealed that I Am Bread will get out of early access in mid-2015, though were reticent to give an actual date.
The update also adds a new, longer lasting grip meter, haze effects on potenital heat sources and loads of new items - wheelbarrows, vacuums, etc - to play with in the garage.
All players who have downloaded I Am Bread will automatically receive the update. You can pick it up at the Steam Early Access store for PC for $9.99. Watch the new trailer below.
