There is a lot of speculation around who will die in the next season of The Walking Dead and some well documented absences from the trailers. One of these is Noah and recent casting news seems to point to his rumored death being true.
New Synopsis Points To A Rocky Road For The Walking Dead Gang
Tyler James Williams who plays Noah in the show has been cast in CSI: Cyber reported Entertainment Weekly. Actors generally don't pull double duty on shows because scheduling is a nightmare. So knowing that he has accepted a role on a new show could very well mean that Noah's days are numbered.
There has been a lot speculation about the death of Noah even before this announcement. The actor was mysteriously missing from production shots and then he was not in the trailer for the second half of the season.
Season Six Of The Walking Dead Tied Into Spinoff?
What this means for the plot is unknown. It was originally speculated that he would be integral to the finding of the Alexandria Safe Zone however, if he's going to be kicking off soon, that seems unlikely.
The secondary theory that they'll find their way there after being waylaid by a mega herd of zombies seems far more likely.
So how will Noah end his days on The Walking Dead? Will it be a well thought out ending that works in some way with the plot or will it will be a quick and random death as is how things tend to happen when actors leave unexpectedly.
That all depends on whether production knew he was leaving early or not. Either way, we'll have answers soon.
The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 8.
