The newest rumor on Samsung Galaxy S III says the mobile device would be available on Verizon Wireless on July 5th, as Slashgear reports.
Samsung’s ambitious attempt to challenge Apple’s iPhone series relies on its Galaxy S series, and the new edition is coming out in five carriers in the United States. Sprint and T-mobile have already announced to make Galaxy S III available on June 21, while the exact date of release for Verizon, AT&T, and U.S. Cellular have not been announced yet.
However, rumors suggest that Verizon is shooting for a July 5th launch date. This date is being discussed in Android Community and Slashgear has reported. This sounds reasonable, since Verizon had been launching new models on Thursday’s. Phandroid suspects a little later date – July 9th, according to an internal document they acquired.
The new device from the Korean mobile giant is going to hit the U.S. market with amazing specs, including the Snapdragon S4 processor with two cores at 1.5 GHz each and 2 GB of ram equipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The 1280 x 720 HD Super AMOLED display is to provide a superb quality on its 4.8-inch extra large screen. The back and front cameras will be 8- and 2-megapixle, respectively, and capable of recording 1080p/720p HD video. And the deice supports 4G LTE and HSPA+.
Galaxy S III is also not changing any of its branding or design across different carriers.
