The Official Total War Art Book Displays 15 Years Of Series History, Available Now

The official Total War art book, which recently made news for its role in the potential reveal of a new game, is now available for purchase.

Dying Light's Be A Zombie Mode Will Be Free To All Players

The Art of Total War is a hard-back book written by journalist Martin Robinson, and includes interviews and commentary from the Total War art team. The art includes 15 years of Total War history, from the original Shogun and Medieval through to the current games and a look ahead at Attila and Arena. It can be purchased from Titan Books for $34.95.

A limited edition is also available, which features an alternate cover, premium slipcase and signed print by Rome II illustrator Rado Javor. These are limited to 500 copies worldwide, and can be found here in the U.S. and here in the U.K. online for $60 and £45 respectively.

An excerpt from the book by someone who received an early copy a few weeks ago mentioned a Warhammer tie-in title in development. While the news itself wasn't a surprise (a deal between the companies had been announced years back), it was the first mention we'd seen of anything titled Total War: Warhammer. It made sense that SEGA would maybe announce the game before the The Art of Total War was released since it's mentioned, but there has been no word. The Creative Assembly has quite a few projects announced at the moment--Attila, Arena, Battle Kingdoms--and Total War: Warhammer may still be a way off yet.
