After one week of closed beta testing, JoyGames is starting up the open beta for their tower-defense ARPG title One Piece Online, the latest in a very, very long line of games in the One Piece universe.
The Nosgoth Open Beta Is Now Live!
"To celebrate the launch of open beta, OnePiece Online team has already prepared various activities to help you to dominate the ingame world. Wonderful activities, fantastic gifts are waiting for your participation! Join us quickly and gain more surprises and friends!" according to the official site.
One Piece Online is an "Action Role Playing Game", a free to play browser based game that "combines the role-playing, real time battle of ARPG with the "tower defense" battle mode. PAX South Preview: What To Look For This Weekend In San Antonio
But as a fan of tower defense, RPGs and with a passing knowledge of the One Piece anime and manga, you have my attention.
Players can traverse over 300 separate levels with their own party culled from the hundreds of featured characters from the rich and varied One Piece universe.
You can head over to the official One Piece Online site in a few hours, click a button or two and immediately begin playing. Look, it's a long wait until One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, which is out this summer. This should help ease the slow crawl of time for fans around the world.
