If you're to believe the latest rumor to fall from the "Apple" tree seems, I can only hope for your sake that you're patient...
After speaking to supply vendors, Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White believes that both the iPhone 5 and an iPad mini will have a September debut to stores, and not June like so many were hoping for. At least this is an improvement over the belief some shared of an October release for the phone.
Over the last few weeks, many reports about the next iPhone have indicated everything from a larger screen, to a different case material, and everything in between. But Apple executives and representatives still have yet to confirm many of the rumors, leaving us to wait for their WWDC later this month.
As for the iPad mini, it's allegedly in the experimental phase. Supposedly measuring about 8 inches, it will feature the same screen resolution as the first two iPads.
9to5Mac is also reporting that the Siri Assistant will not be an iPhone exclusive. They report that the iOS 6 operating system (planned to be used for the new iPad) will feature Siri support, along with all of the Siri features including: reminders, weather, maps, e-mail, notes, calender managing, music playback, iMessaging, searching, and more. Given the iPad's larger than your average phone size, this would help validate the introduction of a smaller iPad.
Stay posted to hear more information once Apple provides us with more information from the WWDC.
