The next stop for Alan Wake seems to be a place called Ordinary. Tweeted out by series writer Sam Lake that "It's all true. 'It will happen again, in another town, a town called Ordinary.' It's happening now" and linking to a simple blog called This House of Dreams.
Following a woman named Samantha who "fulfilled my lifelong dream and bought an old house. This blog will follow the process as I renovate the house into the house of my dreams." She eventually finds some poems and two photos of people with blacked out faces--a man in a diving suit and a woman, who fans of the story know could be Thomas Zane and his wife/embodiment of the Dark Presence before Wake.
Samantha starts to have nightmares after finding the photos and a few poems with notes scrawled through them. So clearly, this isn't going to end well for the person who happens to live in Ordinary, America. Whether or not this will be a true sequel, or an alternate side-story like Alan Wake: American Nightmare remains to be seen. But the prose could be the lost letters of Thomas Zane, which were suppsoedly burned away by the end of Alan Wake. If not, what could The Dark Presence be hiding this time if not Mr. Scratch or Zane's wife Barbara?
Maybe we'll find out this week during the e3 presentations.
