The Truth May Be Coming Back, Fox In Talks To Bring Back The X-Files

The 90s taught us many things, but one of the most important lessons was that "The truth is out there". Now, after 13 years off the air, Fox is in talks to bring The X-Files back to television.

FOX TV Group chairman Gary Newman announced during the channel's TCA presentation that they were in talks to bring the cult classic television show back, reports Shock Till You Drop.

To sweeten the pot of already awesome news, Newman also revealed that they would like to get original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson to return to the show.

Wait. Not only does one of the greatest science fiction/horror/government conspiracy shows ever made have a chance to return but they're also bringing back FBI agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder? This is a thing I need in my life.

The original X-Files ran from 1993-2002. It followed the two agents as they investigated strange happenings around the United States. Some episodes were very science fiction, others had more of a horror bent, and underneath everything was this idea of conspiracy fueled by Mulder's paranoia, which was itself offset by Scully's skepticism.

It was perfect.

It spawned one spinoff called The Lone Gunmen, and two feature films. There were also a few graphic novels that tie into the show as well.

Nothing is official yet as the studio is just in talks about bringing the show back. Hopefully this turns into something more-don't toy with our emotions FOX!
