Orange is the New Black will see a variety of cast changes. Some of them are huge with actors not returning to the show for the third season at all while others will become more regular on the coming season. Spoilers below!
American Horror Story: Freak Show Under New Management For Season Finale
Poussey (Samira Wiley) will reportedly have a larger role in the coming season, according to Breathecast. Last season we saw her character on the outs with the other girls because of her disagreement with how Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) was running things. Most of her anger came from Vee's treatment of Tastee (Danielle Moore).
It's interesting that Poussey is listed as having a more prominent role in the coming season, but not Tastee. Their stories have been intertwined since season one and the characters both had pretty substantial storylines during season two.
Game Of Thrones On The Big Screen Delayed As More IMAX Theatres Added
After the events of season two, this may be a sign that Poussey is moving away from her attachment to Tastee and forming new bonds and relationships in the prison. After the way that Tastee treated her during Vee's reign of evil as well as the constant rebuffs to her affections, it's no surprise that she would turn away from her long time prison friend.
Black Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore) will also have a stronger role in the coming season. Last season we were treated to some of her back story regarding her mother and daughter. This season we may find out why she's in prison as well as more about the relationship that exists in her family.
Side note, did we ever meet a not black Cindy?
Orange is the New Black returns to Netflix this summer.
