Where do we even begin with last night's episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show? There was just so much jam packed into that an hour. So much gore and freakishly divine retribution. Let's recap! Spoilers below.
New Clues in Freak Show Hint At What's In Store For American Horror Story Season Five
Last night was the second to last episode of the season, so we're in the crunch to see things wrapped up here. We open with the Freaks inviting Stanley aka Richard Spencer to a dinner party. They show him Freaks, the classic tale of a group of carnival freaks enacting revenge on one who wronged them.
Stanley knows what's coming. It's confirmed when they bring out the curator he was selling freak parts to. Well, her head anyway.
Desiree Dupree May Be The One Who Lives In American Horror Story: Freak Show
In a bid to save his own life, he tells the Freaks that Elsa was the one to kill Ethel. It doesn't work to save him but they took it under advisement. You can't just kill one of them and get away with it.
Jimmy meanwhile is having a breakdown as the reality of his handless life is hitting him. Elsa has a fix for him, though, in the form of the doctor that gave her legs after her "accident". And by accident we mean when she was working in a whore house in Berlin and someone paid to amputate them.
When the Doctor Ax-Man (known this season as Massimo) shows up, he and Elsa share an intimate moment when he tells her about how he searched for her and also avenged her disfigurement in a bloody vendetta that stretched across Europe.
That's love right there.
In any case, Jimmy is not feeling the love with Maggie and warns her to get out of town before something happens to her. She doesn't listen. She never listens.
Meanwhile on the other side of land of ill-fated love matches, Dandy meets with Bette and Dot and tries to warn them away from Chester. Because he's crazy and that's no good. Never mind that they're getting this info from a mass murderer.
It doesn't take long for Chester to prove his murder cred though. When the girls say they won't work with him anymore, Maggie steps up. Instead of leaving town as advised. Because again, she does not listen
She gets into the box and Chester who has been driven off the deep end, shackles her down and saws. Her. In. Half.
The Freaks figure she had it coming and decide to just bury her. They're not wrong.
Chester freaks out again and "murders" his puppet, then turns himself into the police. Looks like the show will need a new owner.
At this point, the Freaks decide it's a good time to go get some revenge for Ethel but alas, they've missed Elsa who is terribly good at getting away. Although this time it was due to the good graces of Bette and Dot who warned her.
Too bad for them she's still a terrible person and sells the Freak Show to the one man who love it as his own: Dandy Mottt.
When Dandy comes to take in his brand new property, he sees he has a new addition to the cast. Stanely has joined the troop. Armless and legless but sure to still have his own "little monster".
Last episode is next week.
