Among the other things that Lara Croft seems to not like in the new trailer for Tomb Raider are wolves, crumbling airplanes and the mysterious Russians who start killing her friends.
Going by the layout, young Lara deals with her ship crashing as only a Croft would: improvisation, weapons and the inevitable moment when she breaks free from her captors and goes all Liam Neeson on them:
The better news that comes with the trailer, aside from the occasional Dubstep Wub Wub, is a new release date for March 5, 2012 is tacked on the end. So, what else happens to her on the mysterious island in the fictional Dragon's Triangle? Compared to the original with it's, uh, "massive" features, it appears a hunting mechanic (a~la Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater) could show up as a training method for the bow and arrow, plus restoring health and the always fun horror at actually surviving will be the main goal when not dodging bullets.
More next week from e3 as folks get their hands on Tomb Raider.
