At today's latest Nintendo Direct, president Satoru Iwata announced a wealth of new titles from classic Nintendo properties. He lead the show with a brand new Fire Emblem game for the 3DS.
No subtitle was given - indeed, it may be a solo title. The game is being written by Shin Kibayashi, who has worked on several Fatal Frame comics, with character design by returning Fire Emblem vet Kozaki Yusuke.
The game looks crisp and epic, filled with all the strategic turn based combat you've come to expect from Fire Emblem. Iwata said that a new system will offer "even bigger choices" and that the effect of those choices on the world will be "greater than ever".
No release date has been given, but it will drop sometime this year. We have no word on if this is the full title for the game, either, although it's called Fire Emblem If in Japan.
More as we hear it! For now, check out the short teaser trailer from the Direct.
