New images feature one of the new male clones, all played by Ari Millen, we'll see in the upcoming season of Orphan Black. It's clear from the shot that these clones will be intense and furthermore, a problem for the girls in the new season.
Orphan Black Will Have Male Clones For The Third Season
Although Millen's character Mark was introduced in the last season and male clones were always going to be part of the story, Millen didn't find out that he was going to be playing the role until late into the filming.
"In the process of season two, we cast Ari in the role of Mark, but that character was interesting, because originally we were going to kill him," said Orphan co-creator John Fawcet to The Hollywood Reporter. "But it was a little bit of an organic process: who was going to be the face of Project Castor? And partway throughout season two, we realized our answer, and that's how that came to be."
Get Caught Up On Orphan Black With The Season 2 Round Up
Millen went from being killed off to gaining a few more roles. Not bad. To prepare for his roles, he watched Tatiana Maslany who plays the female clones on the show to learn how to act as multiple people in the show at once.
The clones that Millen is playing come from the Project Castor branch, the male clone division that is run by the government. In a picture from the BBC, we are shown of the new clones, Rudy.
According to Millen, Rudy is a very intense character, very unhinged and very dangerous. I guess you shouldn't expect much else from someone called "Scarface".
Orphan Black returns on April 18 on BBC America.
