Devolver Digital, one of the largest independent games marketer out there, has recently gotten into the indie film business as well. It was only a very short matter of time that they would be entering into the indie game film business, which is precisely what they're doing all winter long.

Titled Devolver Live, the company will bring you a new video-game related movie - be it documentary or narrative - every Friday until the end of February. What makes it particularly newsworthy is that they will be airing these films on Twitch, because let's face it, you watch everything there anyways. (How did you even find this article? Words are so...20th century)
Each film will air at approximately 2:15 p.m. Pacific time (that's 11:15 a.m. for us snowed-in Easterners). The series kicks off today, January 9 with Devolver's own 'Stream Dream' which highlights the rise of the Youtube and Twitch streamer as a viable career path.

I know I am old because back in my day, people would criticize you for "why are you just watching a game? Why don't you just play it?" and now, here we are with Stream Dream.
The full line-up is as follows:
January 16: Pixel Poetry - A games-as-art documentary
January 23: (no broadcast this week)
January 30: Angry Video Game Nerd - The movie adaptation of the popular comic web series
February 6: Gaming in Color - a new LGBTQ gamer documentary
February 13: Super Game Jam: The Movie - Game development becomes entertainment
February 20: To be announced!
To say nothing of the wealth of indie film titles they have and will have available this winter. You can check out the full list of movies HERE and watch the Winter Releases trailer below. I'm sure you can spare two minutes from watching games to watch a trailer about people talking about games.
