Ten Popular Games by Activision: #6

Activision has released some very notable franchises/games over the years and so I thought, why not do a run-through of ten video games that we all have heard a lot about and/or have played a few dozen times?

Quick run-through of prior nominees:

#10: "Crash Bandicoot" series

#9: "Spyro the Dragon" series

#8: "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" series

#7: "X-Men" series

*007 music in the background* ... It's time for #6!

#6 "James Bond"

I love shooter games...I've always loved it... and I'm positive the James Bond video game franchise contributed to this. The games weren't just "fun," there was always some kind of strategy involved which added a different level of enjoyment.

In May 2006, Activision acquired non-exclusive rights to develop expand and publish James Bond games. It was only until the following year that the publisher would be exclusive. The first official Bond game was released back in 1983; however, Activision's first release was a tie-in to the 2008 James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace."

James Bond 007: Blood Stone was released in November 2010, and was an original Bond experience written by Bruce Feirstein, an American screenwriter and humorist.

On October 18, 2012, 007 Legends will be released. This will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise.

So get ready, because in just a couple of months Bond, James Bond, will be back in action!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for #5!
