DC is planning to release a huge slate of movies in the upcoming years, starting with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We also know that this film is the stepping stone towards introducing a full-fledged Justice League movie lineup, so the title makes a lot more sense now doesn't it? There are some heroes strangely absent from the group, however.
Justice League Movie Will Include Fan Favorite Hero Shazam
Batman v Superman has already finished wrapping and as International Business Times reports, both the Flash and Green Lantern are missing from the film. Both of these characters are huge parts of the Justice League in both the comics and various versions of the show.
We know that both Aquaman (played by Jason Momoa) and Cyborg will have roles in the upcoming movie, although how large of a part they play in the story hasn't been determined yet. Wonder Woman will also appear.
DC Confirms That It Will Have Shared Movie-Verse Much like Marvel
Although Ezra Miller has been cast as the park of speed demon Flash, the role of Green Lantern has not. Unlike many of the JL, Green Lantern has already had a recent origin story movie- it wasn't very good, but it happened. Warner Bros has announced another solo film for the hero so hopefully they'll just ignore that first one happened at all.
Filming has wrapped for Batman v. Superman so it is unlikely that these two heroes will see any action. There's still over a year left before the movie is released so there's a good deal of time to sneak scenes into the final production, however.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premieres March 25, 2016.
