Much like the famous Joyeux Noel Christmas ceasefire during World War I, in which soldiers from opposing sides of the war put aside the horror of that conflict and celebrated the holiday, Wargaming is calling a temporary truce in World of Tanks.
GOG After Christmas Square Enix Sale: Deus Ex, Thief, Tomb Raider And More
Starting next Thursday, December 31 at 2 a.m. Eastern and ending on January 2, also at two in the morning, all Stronghold Raids will be under ceasefire orders. Sorry, no attacking or defending of your base. We’re going to play as we ring in the new year. All hell can break loose in our homes, our Industrial Reserve coffers can be robbed, but we will act like one big happy family for twenty four hours, or else!
Skirmishing, the equivalent to No Man’s Land football, will still be open to clans.
The Steam Holiday Sale Rolls On With Shadow Of Mordor And So Many Titles
Though Christmas has passed, and hopefully brought you many, many fine things (including a sweet amount of gold in World of Tanks), the merriness can remain. Two days before Christmas Wargaming released an absolutely adorable little animated video which featured two of its biggest stars - tanks and planes - helping the next big thing, warships, under the Christmas tree.
It’s really worth a look, a sort of two and a half minute Toy Story adventure. Tanks and planes are armored deathdealers in their respective World of games, but they also have a surprising amount of ingenuity about them, too.
After all, you won’t be fighting in a few days, why not treat yourself to a smile? Watch the video below.
