Home Alone is a classic Christmas tale of childhood abandonment and neglect in suburbia. Families around the country tune in to watch the story of one lost child's attempt to protect himself from two ruthless home invaders after his family forgets him for the holiday. Or at least that's what this recut trailer of the movie is about.
Fan Made Marvel vs. DC Trailer is the Movie Everyone Wants
Pretty much everyone is familiar with the story of Kevin. The boy was accidently left at home, alone, while the rest of his family left for the holidays because there were too many people in the house and none of the adults were competent.
Honestly, it's a light hearted movie filled with slapstick comedy and some heart felt moments. Or is it?
Dexter takes on Bats in Fan Made Gotham Inspired Dexter Episode
The recut trailer shows the true story of holiday favorite Home Alone. In the minute and a half we see the terror and abject sadness of a small child left to fend for themselves in a world that has forgotten them. All while wrestling with the knowledge that the people who were supposed to care for him most barely know he's alive.
The burglars present the immediate danger but nothing can erase the invisible emotional scars that Kevin will bear for the rest of his life. Home Alone is a brutal film. Emotionally devastating when you think about it. Or you can just laugh at the burglars being bested by an elementary student. Your choice. But consider, Macaulay Culkin was also The Good Son. Coincidence? I think not.
