Ten Popular Games by Activision: #10

When notorious producers announce the releases of a new game, expectations tend to run high. Activision has released some very notable franchises/games over the years and so I thought, why not do a run-through of ten video games that we all have heard a lot about and/or have played a few dozen times?

Let's start with #10, shall we?

#10: "Crash Bandicoot" series

Fox? Dog? I never really questioned the species of Crash Bandicoot, but I did later find out he was just that--a Bandicoot (which are marsupial omnivores found in Australia).

The games are mostly set on the islands of the fictitious Wumpa Islands and it's up to the player to help Crash defeat Doctor Neo Cortex (the same guy who created him) before he can embark on world domination schemes and before Crash is defeated.

"Crash Bandicoot" is a series that was originally developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, but starting in 2008, Activision took over. In October of 2008, Crash: Mind over Mutant was co-published by Sierra Entertainment. It received mixed reviews, as it was released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Wii and PSP platforms-with the PS2 and Wii version meeting more positive reviews.

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D (2008), Crash Bandicoot: Mutant Island (2009), and Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2 (2009) were all released, solely produced by Activision. These installments in particular were introduced to wireless platforms, like the iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry, etc.

This platform video game definitely kept me entertained as a child it was one that never got old.
