Minecraft console developer 4J Studios announced this weekend that Sony Europe had given the go-ahead for the horse patch. The update adds more than just horse support, however. More colorful types of clay are now scattered throughout Minecraft worlds, and new features like beacons, fireworks and hoppers have been added into the mix. The game's Tutorial World has also been updated to teach players all about these new functions.

Now that the update is live for Europeans, North American console owners should expect to see their own patch go live within the week, based on how these updates have rolled out in the past.
