Ubisoft's Shootmania Storm Invokes Tribes and A lot of Jumping

Just a week shy of e3 and already we've got an in-game trailer for Nadeo's latest "Mania" game: Shootmania.

From the footage released, it seems to be a fairly straightforward multiplayer shooter that relies on a "Tribes" mentality, just without the arsenal or perks. It's so bare bones that apparently the avatar customizable traits include a back symbol and color format. The allure for "Shootmania" appears to be an infitely customizable landscape and settings, allowing for massive drops and the types of nook and crannies that allow for snipers and ambushes to take back the tide in battle.

The level showcased in the trailer, Storm, is one of two according to the ever-reliable Wikipedia. Cryo, a snow-based board, is set to be released later in 2012. They'll likely be more reactions, including console/PC avaliablity, revealed at e3.
