As promised last week, Beamdog has delivered Bioware’s classic dungeon crawler Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition to Android platforms.
Like Steampunk? Like Outcast Odyssey? Then Have I Got A Contest For You
The 2000 game has been remastered and was previously ported on PC, Mac, Linux and iOS. Available for $9.99 on the Google Play store, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition includes both the original Shadows of Amn adventure and the expansion, Throne of Bhaal. The game also includes the combat arena expansion The Black Pits II and Fists of the Fallen, which is all new content specifically created for the Enhanced Edition.
Additional content is available for $2.99 each: A Price Paid in Blood, In Defense of The Wild, and A Voice in The Dark, three adventures that will add dozens of hours of playtime onto the game. “A portrait pack featuring work by artist Kieran Yanner can be bought for $1.99.”
Square Enix's Big Holiday Sale Cuts All Final Fantasy Titles Prices By Half
The original Baldur’s Gate II sold over 2 million copies and helped put a tiny little video game company on the map. Bioware went on to make pretty much every great western RPG title you’ve played over the last 15 years.
Not convinced? The game’s official site asks this simple question: “Can you resist the evil within you, forge a legend of heroic proportions, and ultimately destroy the dark essence that haunts your dreams? Or will you embrace your monstrous nature, carve a swath of destruction across the realms, and ascend to godhood as the new Lord of Murder?” Tell me you aren’t interested now.
Head over to Google Play today and pick it up. You’ll be glad you did.
