Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes Hits Steam During Holiday Sale, Offers 4K Resolution To PC Players

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Hits Steam With 4K Resolution PC Port

PC gamers with 4K displays don't always get a lot of support from the industry just yet. Since most games tend to top out at 1080p, a 4K display is mostly good for watching compatible movies and future-proofing your setup. Konami, however, is throwing high-end PC gamers a bone with the Steam release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, available with glorious 4K resolution support.

Steam Holiday Sale 2014 Goes Live

Probably not coincidentally, Ground Zeroes is hitting Steam at the same time as the start of the annual Holiday Sale, and the game is starting out its Steam career as one of the current Daily Deals (which, actually, last for two days). So if you were looking to pick up this game on PC, try to do it in the next 48 hours. Its regular $19.99 sticker price is currently sitting at just over $13.

Along with the focus on 4K resolution support, Konami also brags about how the game's graphics are able to support more simultaneous light sources and more on-screen models.

Grand Theft Auto Online Gets A Whole Bunch Of New Content Thanks To A Holiday Event

Ground Zeroes first launched back in March to give Metal Gear Solid fans a chance to play around as Big Boss before his full adventure – Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – launches next year. The short game serves as a prequel to Phantom Pain, setting up story elements and introducing players to the open-ended mission setup that Phantom Pain will showcase when it finally releases. Ground Zeroes is now available of PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Phantom Pain will be available in 2015 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
