In honor of the 21st anniversary of the original Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, Pinkerton Road and Phoenix Online have announced the release of the graphic novel version of The Temptation, the first new Gabriel Knight story since 1999. The story is written by the game’s creator Jane Jensen and the first chapter is now available for free at the Phoenix Online site.
Chapters two and three will be released in January for the low, low cost of ‘not a thing’. The comic takes place approximately six months after the events of the third and final adventure, Gabriel Knight: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned and finds our roguishly handsome hero, his destiny fulfilled, wondering what happens next. A new mystery comes knocking on the door and he takes up the charge to investigate what is threatening the small German town he now calls home.

The Temptation is also available in short story form.
All of this is in celebration of the recent release of Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers 20th Anniversary Edition, an all new remastering of the original adventure classic. The game is available as part of the Phoenix Online winter sale for a discounted price of $16.99 and can be found at other online retailers like GOG, as well.
“It’s been such a pleasure to work in the Gabriel Knight universe again and write a new story,” says Jane Jensen, “I hope there’ll be more stories to tell soon!” We do, too Jane. Everything old is new again. New Star Wars. New Terminator. New Jurassic Park. How about a new Gabriel Knight game?
In the meantime, though, enjoy The Temptation. Read it HERE.
