If you were paying attention during episode eight American Horror Story: Freak Show then you may have caught a familiar face. The Axeman (Danny Huston) also played Massimo Dolcifino, the man who gave Elsa her prosthetic legs.
The Mid-Season Finale of American Horror Story Will No Doubt Bring Blood
The actor will be returning to the show in the last episodes. We know that in the upcoming mid-season finale, there will be more of Elsa's story reveled. His appearance could just be in relation to that but in the way that old friends happen to just show up in Jupiter, it's also possible that he could also show up knocking at the flaps of Elsa's tent.
There's one more possible surprise for viewers. Earlier it was theorized that Dandy's doctor was possibly Bloody Face from Asylum. Vulture reports that the voice over may actually have been done by Huston.
The Walking Dead Spinoff Will be Set in LA
It is possible that the good doctor switched professions and fled Germany after Ms. Elsa. It's also possible that he's been tracking her all of this time. He was quite taken with her.
The Bloody Face/Freak Show theory may be dashed but there are still a ton of ways that show may be connected back to other seasons. Ryan Murphy, co-creator of the series has confirmed that all the seasons are connected in one way war or another and that season four somehow ties into season one.
Could Constance Langdon actually be Elsa Mars? The woman bounced from place to place and wanted to be an actor in her past. She even has a horde of "freakish" children who may or may not have been hers. After all, you learn by the end of the season she's not against snatching a baby. She would likely be older but, this is also the universe where the immortal Marie Laveau and Delphine LaLaure exist. Who's to say she didn't pay a visit to New Orleans before she settled out west?
We'll just have to wait and see. Watch the trailer for tonight's episode below.
