The huge content update for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare that has been making its way across platforms for the last two weeks has finally hit the PlayStation 3, leaving PC players as the only player base without the new features.
This content patch originally rolled out early this month as a celebration of the game's one-month launch anniversary, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players getting the patch first. Late last week, the update came around to Xbox 360 players, and now PS3 owners can get in on the fun. The patch includes all kinds of fixes that affect many aspects of the game. From stricter anti-cheat measures to balance tweaks to exploit patches to a whole colony of bug fixes, the update's patch notes are a thing to behold. You can check out the full fix list here if you feel like browsing the whole thing.
One of the more prominent areas that this patch affects, though, is game balance. Some weapons, like the powerful Bal27, have been taken down a peg or two in terms of damage and range. Other weapons, however, have seen their range or damage beefed up to make them more competitively viable. Further, some multiplayer game modes have been tweaked for balance's sake. Uplink no longer allows players to pass the Satellite Drone across a whole map, and spawn logic has been improved in a couple of other game modes.

PC players may not have this patch yet, but they shouldn't be discouraged. Michael Condrey, co-founder of Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games, tweeted out that PC players should expect to see the patch very soon.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is now available for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
