Prototype 2 Gets A Price Cut and a Community endorsement

It's been an interesting weekend if you like Prototype 2 and watch Community. The NBC comedy show aired its season finale last week and two days later saw the unceremonious firing of creator/showrunner Dan Harmon. Posting on his tumblr about the lack of communication between him and the studio heads at NBC ultimately came down to what he would do if given an honorary title:

"The same contract also gives me the same salary and title if I spend all day masturbating and playing Prototype 2. And before you ask yourself what you would do in my situation: buy Prototype 2. It's fucking great."

Harmon's not alone, as Prototype 2 was the highest selling game for April in North America and the UK. That's big news for a game that literally came out with four days to spare, which makes the case that maybe there was a lull before the summer blockbusters like Diablo III, Ghost Recon and even the Game of the Year edition of Arkham City were due.

Now it seems the folks at Radical Entertainment are sweetening the pot further with a price cut offered at Game Stop and emerging challenges on their Radnet leaderboard for unlockable skins and video content. Besides, who doesn't like jumping around a city, exploding people and fighting giant monsters that are the same size as a small building?

We're not trying to convince you one way or another, but Prototype 2 is worth it--just drone out the dialogue and you'll happily be slashing, tendril-ing and leaping yourself into a kind of murder-bliss. Besides, even Joel McHale is getting Prototype 2! You literally have no excuse.

edit: we've fixed the broken "type." No news is better than a enws.
