Assassin's Creed Unity players who purchased the game's now-discontinued season pass will get to sign in and claim their free game starting next week, according to Ubisoft.
Mortal Kombat Devs Making Free-To-Play Wrestling Game For 2015
Today, Ubisoft posted an update to its original post about the status of the Unity season pass. In the original post, it was revealed that one of the biggest pieces of content in the game's season pass, the Dead Kings expansion, was being offered for free to the entire player base as an apology for the game's buggy launch. To make this up to the players who had shelled out money for the season pass, Ubisoft also announced that each season pass subscriber would have their choice of one free Ubisoft title from a list of impressively new releases, and it looks like Ubisoft will start handing out these games next week.
According to the update, Ubisoft will launch a dedicated website next week where season pass subscribers will be able to log in using Uplay, PSN or Xbox Live info to claim one of six free games. The titles up for grabs are The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends and Just Dance 2015. The update notes that players must claim these games on the same platform as their copy of Unity.
New Update Information For The Master Chief Collection
Sales of Unity's season pass were cancelled after the announcements of the big changes were first made, though players who already have codes can still redeem them. For the rest of the player base that didn't get their hands on a season pass, they'll still be able to purchase features of the bundle – like the Revolutionary Armaments Weapons Pack and Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China spin-off game – separately once they release.
Assassin's Creed Unity is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
